Social Media (R)evolution

Bob Dylan said ‘The Times, They are a-changin” and here at G5, we’ve both documented and participated in those changes.

Today is no exception. Late last week analyst and blogger Greg Sterling had a short post on the how more and more local companies are looking to get into the social media game.

He said: I spoke to a local marketing company yesterday that told me its clients were asking for help with Facebook and Twitter — they didn’t know how to effectively use these sites, they just knew they wanted to use them.

As you might guess – that was us. We were chatting with him about our most recent announcement, which just came out today.

Our venerable CEO, Dan Hobin, had this to say on the subject: “There is a big difference between advertising on social sites and really getting in there and interacting with your customers,” said G5 CEO Dan Hobin. “The G5 platform now handles the advertising piece and our tool kits provide direction on how to get in there and interact with your customers. You cannot automate the interaction piece as the conversation has to be authentic.”

Here is a link to that news.
